Simply the best? Aligning target customers to business model and platform selection

We are delighted to have commissioned Altus Consulting, a specialist provider of consultancy services to the Financial Services sector, to take a look at the needs and wants of the platform market and consider whether a simple platform is – Simply the best.
With demand for financial advice never being higher in the UK, we still see a whopping 32% of advisers citing back-office administration as their primary business challenge, according to NextWealth research*.
Too much back-office administration means less time for advisers to spend with their clients and less chance of being able to offer value for money services to their low to mid-market value clients.
But how can we give advisers back the gift of time and help create value for our mutual customers?
Research into the trends in the wealth management industry** confirmed the biggest drivers when reviewing technology solutions are:
- Improved efficiency
- Improved service quality
- Reduced operational risk
This offers us, as platform providers, a very clear direction on where we should be focusing our efforts.
So where do we come in? The Embark platform concentrates on simplicity and efficiency rather than bells and whistles. With a strong focus on true straight through processing and keen pricing, here at Embark we are all about offering a simple, value for money solution. We recognise that there is no one size fits all, but we strongly believe that a simple proposition works for advisers and a large proportion of their customers.
“Workflow automation and straight through processing are the magic dust. Get this right and low cost, low risk, and high service follow.”
Phil Smith, CEO, Embark Group
